Josef Salvat is an upcoming Australian singer. He had his first international success after who has become famous after release of his EP In Your Prime when Sony picked Salvat's cover of Rihanna's song "Diamonds" for promotion of Sony's new 4K Ultra HD television screen. Salvat has appeared in a number of important music festivals including Lovebox Festival in London, Lowlands in the Netherlands and collaborated with British recording engineer, record producer and mixer Dan Grech-Marguerat. He also opened for American singer-songwriter Banks in the British leg of her ''Goddess Tour.

iLiKETRAiNS are a post-rock band from Leeds, England.

Their songs are composed of expansive orchestral and guitar-based sounds. They are signed to Beggars Banquet Records, though their debut EP, "Progress Reform", was released on Fierce Panda Records in June, 2006. iLiKETRAiNS' first studio album, Elegies to Lessons Learnt, was recently released through Beggars Banquet on 1 October, 2007. The band also run a night at The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds called Signal Failure.[1]

On 7 April, 2007, they featured on the early-hours music television programme The JD Set, which featured live performance clips and interviews. David Martin talked about how he wanted their music to have a "sense of location" and that this was lacking in music like "Godspeed and Sigur Rós".[2]

They work on concept albums which are also optically represented on stage, by means of video projections and the band's actual image (the mournings on their arms for example). The songs on the Elegies to Lessons Learnt are based on tragic historical events and figures and the songs were created after thorough research and study.[3]

Picking the "best" Raincoats is more an intellectual exercise than it is a work of thoughtful criticism. So, to make it easy for the benighted, all three studio releases are absolutely essential. Their live cassette is wonderful, but I wouldn't start there. Better yet, start with their debut, a soaring, daring, avant-garde-influenced folk-punk record. Don't let the words "avant-garde" scare you off; the Raincoats are not harsh or unapproachable. In fact, this music, even at its most dissonant, is stunning and captivating. There's a great cover of the Kinks' "Lola" that's so skewed and obtuse, I'm sure Ray Davies never dreamed it could sound this way. Reissued by Geffen on CD with extra tracks in 1995.
