Northern Irelands Girls Names return this autumn with their third full-length album, Arms Around a Vision.

Glitterbug is the upcoming third studio album by English indie rock band, The Wombats. It will be released on 6 April 2015. The first single from the album, "Your Body Is a Weapon", was released on iTunes on 2 October 2013 in the United Kingdom and 3 December in the United States. The band are supporting the album with their Glitterbug Tour 2015.

Combining dark electronica with organic orchestration, the anticipated second album of The Irrepressibles, "Nude", is expansive and atmospheric in it's orchestration with powerful melodies and iconoclastic arrangements. On their 2010 debut album, "Mirror Mirror", the group carved a new frontier in pop with their influence seen on much of today's music scene. The Irrepressibles fuse classical orchestration, grunge rock, kitsch, exotica, electronica, sound art, jazz, samba, and folk into a heady and emotional style of music that is created instinctively, playfully and cathartically by J.R.McDermott.

Honne is an English electronic music duo formed in 2014 in Bow, London, consisting of James Hatcher and Andy Clutterbuck. They both write, record, and produce their music. The band released their first two EPs, Warm on a Cold Night and All in the Value, on Super Recordings in 2014.

Nearly three years after the release of their debut If You Leave, Daughter – the London-based trio of Elena Tonra, Igor Haefeli and Remi Aguilella – will return in 2016 with a new album, entitled Not To Disappear. Their first single, ‘Doing The Right Thing’, can be heard online today.
Eager for a fresh approach to music videos, Daughter invited filmmakers Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard (directors of the Nick Cave film 20,000 Days on Earth) to create three films for Not To Disappear. Author Stuart Evers was commissioned to write three short stories – ‘Dress’, ‘Window’ and ‘5,040’ – based on select Not To Disappear tracks. Iain & Jane’s videos are interpretations of those tales. ‘Doing The Right Thing’ (based on the story ‘Dress’) is the first of the visual trilogy.
‘Doing The Right Thing’ concerns the delicate subject of dementia and its debilitating, all-pervading effect on family. Jane & Iain’s video of ‘Doing The Right Thing’ is a sympathetic portrayal. Not To Disappear is Daughter’s second album and finds the band making confident strides forward both sonically and lyrically. Elena, Igor and Remi spent a summer in New York recording Not To Disappear with Nicolas Vernhes (Deerhunter, War On Drugs, Animal Collective) at his Rare Book Room studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

It’s about change and the power to change. It’s about metamorphosis and evolution. It’s about sticking to your guns and toughing it out. It’s about now, not tomorrow. It’s about recognizing your potential. It’s about self-doubt and inaction. It’s about you. It’s about me. It’s about you and me and the others. It’s about the choices we make. It’s about finding the poetry and avoiding the cliché. It’s about being the solution, not the problem. It’s about showing weakness to be strong. It’s about digging through your dirt to look for diamonds. It's about claiming your right to think unacceptable thoughts. It’s about boredom and the things we do to drive it away. It’s about being on your own so you can be with people. It’s about knowing what it means to be human and what it might mean one day. It’s about the parts and the sum of the parts. It's about the music and the message: together, one and the same. It’s about bass, guitars, drums, and vocals. It’s about opening-out and never, ever dying. But most of all it’s about love, every kind of love. Love is the answer.

When an artist lists both the Wu-Tang Clan and Samuel Beckett as its influences, it is often the stuff of hipster fluff, but U.K. poet and rapper Kate Tempest backs those name-drops up with a Big Dada recording contract and a Ted Hughes Award for innovation in poetry. Born in Brockley, South London, Tempest launched her career at 16, performing at open-mike nights at the local record shop. In 2010 she formed the hip-hop group Sound of Rum while launching a career in solo performance poetry. Between the two gigs, she found herself opening shows for artists as diverse as post-punk poet John Cooper Clarke and rapper Scroobius Pip. Sound of Rum released their album Balance in 2011, while Tempest's first book of poetry, Everything Speaks In Its Own Way, was released by Zingaro Books in 2012. In 2013 she performed her work Brand New Ancients with orchestral backing at London's Battersea Arts Centre, which won the Ted Hughes Award for innovation in poetry that same year. A year later, she made her solo album debut with Everybody Down, released by the Ninja Tune-affiliated label Big Dada. ~ David Jeffries

Prinzhorn Dance School are still recognisably the same spiky Brighton-based duo whose ultra-rigorous debut cut through the excess of 2008 like a scimitar through bacon fat. But with their trademark stripped-down intensity now winningly off-set by moments of unabashed tenderness, their third album Home Economics continues and even accelerates the move away from austerity and into human warmth begun by its acclaimed 2011 predecessor Clay Class. All the best six-track albums - The Fall’s Slates, Orange Juice’s Texas Fever - know exactly what they want to say and how they intend to say it. Home Economics shares that infectious sense of urgency. There’s not an inch of spare meat on it - from Reign’s snatched moment of optimism, through Battlefield’s restorative meeting of minds with an urban fox on a drunken walk home in the early hours, to Let Me Go’s concluding tribute to “a love that won’t rewind and will not be deleted”. Spindly yet sensuous, together and alone, exquisitely sad but somehow full of hope, Prinzhorn Dance School knit together disparate and even opposite fragments into an utterly satisfying whole.
