该书是古籍办国家古籍整理出版资助項目“《十三經註疏校勘記》整理”的附属产品。围绕“古籍校勘”这一主题，收录多位参与“《十三經註疏校勘記》整理”項目专家学者的论作。内容主要包括三部分：第一部分是《十三經註疏校勘記》研究主办的“校勘与经典”学术讨论专题论文。第二部分是《十三經註疏校勘記》研究的阶段性成果。第三部分辑录若干稀见经典校勘文献。

本书出自已近三十年，今兹三版，有校订机会。惟近年工作既忙，又不便增补太多，影响版面，故未能随心所欲，多所增补，主要只是校订脱误而已；但久已发现之脱伪得到更正，心甚慰。
