許多歌迷都是從《旅行的意義》這首單曲開始接觸陳綺貞的音樂，其實距離她發行第一張專輯，已經有七年的時間。這張完全由陳綺貞個人企劃創意並執行製作的專輯，單曲提前一年曝光，便俘獲了死忠歌迷們的心，專輯還未發行便凝結了廣大聽眾的期待，發行後更在華語樂壇掀起了台灣獨立音樂文化現象。
