I AM THE AVALANCHE released their full-length debut September 27, 2005 on Drive-Thru Records. Produced by Barrett Jones (Foo Fighters, Melvins) the self-titled album resonates with Vinnie Caruana’s sometimes dark, but always clever lyrical musings accompanied by heavy, intoxicating guitars and drums. Caruana (former front-man of The Movielife) and crew rock and awe on tracks like "Dead And Gone" which plays like a musical investigation into the disappearance of love and the bloody and pulverizing "I Took A Beating" that humorously reflects on two really bad years. I AM THE AVALANCHE was selected as one of Alternative Press’ 100 Bands You Need To Know In 2005.
