1992年正式成军于英国的Echobelly，是由女主唱Sonya与瑞典裔吉他手Glenn所共同领军，两人.以搭档创作的方式，为乐团谱写出一支支动听且畅销的作品。基本上，Echobelly的曲风融合了英式流行、摇滚、另类以及后庞克，再搭配上女主唱Sonya响亮清脆如梦幻般的嗓音，予人有精神为之一振且积极开阔的感受，使得他们如一股清流般地，相继迅速地掳获英国、欧洲、美国及日本歌迷的心。1993年8月，该团在独立厂牌Rhythm King;旗下发表了首张专辑“Everyone's Got One”，立刻受到众多乐评的赞誉，勇夺英国榜#8的排行名次。1995年9月，第二张专辑“On”发表，行情更加看涨，不仅连续创下三首Top 20排行单曲，专辑亦迅速登上排行#4名席次。97年发行专辑”The World Is Flat”由名制作人Gil Norton (Foo Fighters)来为他们担任专辑制作，袭其过往清新且积极的乐风，但同时也有着较为深沉且人生黑暗面的题材探讨，以及晦涩压抑且汹涌暗藏的乐风尝试。

Although they have released a few low-key singles, the press and public reaction has been incredible. Leader Alex Miller is already showing all the traits of becoming a fascinating frontman. The Skywriter EP is a collection of songs Morfar has been tinkering with for the last three years. On this record he has used glockenspiel, melodica and old dusty Casio keyboards - in addition to the laptop. Against all odds he stands up and, in the face of his nightmares from Nidaros Cathedral; he sings - on every track. The result ends up somewhere between the naive and catchy electronica of 'Kim Hiorthøy', the Northern soundscape of 'Mùm' and at times the distant voice of 'Khonnor'. His own inspiration, meanwhile, comes from bands like 'Mogwai', 'Godspeed You Black Emperor' and 'The Cure'. Even though a laptop may be the most important element of his music, Morfar has crafted an organic and natural-sounding EP for the forthcoming days of spring. It contains 7 tracks, 6 of them originals by Morfar, the last one being a remix by 'Kjempetjukk Bussjåfør', courtesy of Healthy Boy Records in Bergen.

不知道大家看过最近的PUMA广告吗,里面的背景音乐就是Mazarin的For Energy Infinite，是一首很欢快的英式摇滚曲.
这只乐队成军于1999年，至今发过三张专辑，这是他们最近的一张。整张专辑曲风基本偏向英式摇滚，但他们却来自美国费城，目前成员包括:

其实关于他们的介绍在网上很少，只知道这又是一支独立乐队，呵呵，成军于2002年，乐队包括吉他手Mike Schey和Mark Buzard，贝司手Don Raymond，鼓手Adam Boyd，还有主创人员，歌手Nate Ruess以及多器乐专家Sam Means。而乐队的名字，则来源于对现代音乐工业处在cookie-cutter“FORMAT”冲击下的嘲讽，随着第一张单曲“The First Single”在美国西南现场音乐表演的流行，2002年，乐队与Elektra Records签约，发行了一张专辑“Interventions and Lullabies”，在北美两年的巡回演出中，乐队慢慢调整，重新出发，并发行过几张EP

有那么一类乐队，我们经常称之为Supergroup，翻译过来可以叫精英团体。来自加拿大温哥华的the New Pornographers就是这么一支Supergroup，成员包括Thee Evaporators的John Collins、Destroyer的Dan Bejar、独立制片人Blaine Thurier和一直在乡村摇滚领域里混事儿的女主唱Neko Case（其第三张专辑《Blacklisted》是在the Bad Seed帮助下完成的），还有乐队的主脑以及发起人AC Newman。
The New Pornographers乐队的主要作曲人Carl Newman说：“我想要缩小Led Zeppelin乐队和The Fifth Dimension乐队的差距”。Newman在纽约郊外的一间小木屋里用温哥华话来录制《Togther》专辑，期间邀请了一些嘉宾，如在St. Vincent乐队用吉他独奏民谣《My Shepherd》的Annie Clark。由于朗朗上口的British Invasion旋律和演唱者Neko Case，《Togther》专辑听起来仍然有The New Pornographers乐队的风格。Neko Case在乐队的几首歌曲里担任领唱，包括歌曲《The Crash Years》和《My Shepherd》。Newman说：“她是我们乐队的秘密武器，我们不可能不用她”。

You may know Erlend Øye from Kings of Convenience. The Bergen-based Norwegian singer has been a huge figure in the electronic music scene for years, but with Whitest Boy Alive, his new project with German DJ Marcin Oez, Erlend's gone the opposite route, creating stripped down rock music without layering, editing or effects. The simple combination of drums, bass, guitar and Erlend's breezy, yet intimate voice create a sound that is both funky and melancholy.
