Nicolás Jaar is a Chilean-American composer and recording artist based in New York. Among his notable works are the albums Space Is Only Noise, Pomegranates and Sirens.

Originally released in 2006. "Tapped" has been blowing minds at raves for years -- its arpeggiated electro riffs bouncing against the bass line and tuff percussion. Vocalled on Skream! by JME, the hottest MC in grime, "Tapped" has "anthem" written all over it. "Dutch Flowerz" has a summery skank to it with reggae horns and a deep, dubby feel.

Originally released in 2006, available again. This is the debut album from Skream, Croydon's musical wonderkid. At 15 he discovered making music, and 5 years after, he helped to change the course of UK urban music, building the foundations of dubstep, the UK's most talked-about musical genre. Skream's clipped, techy minimal style has quickly become his trademark. Long before grime existed, it reflected dark, murky streets and sinister nights, the sound of decaying London and its frustrated communities, stuck out in satellite towns and sink estates with nothing but a PC and freely-available software to channel their frustration into. His signature tune, the scene's anthem "Midnight Request Line" is an explosion of electro arpeggios and dub sub-bass. It's a tune you can sing along to. From the opening haunting strings of "Tortured Soul," which calls to mind the work of Philip Glass or Aphex Twin, to the more optimistic chords and guitar of "Dutch Flowerz," to the heavy vocal cuts featuring Warrior Queen and JME, and the heavy digi-sounds of "Auto-Dub," it's clear that this is a sonic visionary at work.

A set of incredibly diverse tracks, 'Remedy' is indebted to the raw American house of Todd Terry and Masters at Work, and even shares the NuYoricans' penchant for Latin vibes (especially on the horn-driven 'Bingo Bango' and the opener, 'Rendez-Vu,' which trades a bit of salsa wiggle with infectious vocoderized disco). 15 tracks, including 'Red Alert' and 'Rendez-Vu', on this Astralwerks release.

Underworld's electronica 1994 debut, Dubnobasswithmyheadman, is still regarded by many as one of the best techno/electronica CDs of all time. 9 tracks, including 'Dark & Long', 'Dirty Epic' & 'Cowgirl' on this Wax Trax! Release.

Toronto based producer Victor Tso returns with second EP <ZUO / 左> to Briefnote as WISEFAKE. Still Depressed and Odds. One Bonus Track and Full Cover Arts are included in purchase package.
<ZUO>, the official surname of WISEFAKE, is based on the Clan-consciousness of Tso's real life. From one of the oldest family tree in China, he's the oldest of his generation of the family tree, make him have to take in charge of both his own career and learning to manage the family. Conflict, compromise and "All-to-none" Taoism from traditional asian clan-consciousness are the foundation of this work. The word (pic) on the front artwork is part of his official name seal.
Musically, <ZUO> is less fusion than his previous work <SAKURA BENTO>. Sound in <ZUO> is basically the leftfield/experimental Techno fused with bass music, and has more ambient parts, especially the last two song, <義経 | Yoshitsune> and <蓮の影 | hasu no kage>. <義経 | Yoshitsune> is a reflection of deconstructionism, in the trance of reducing shells of formal bass music, similarly but differently, <蓮の影 | hasu no kage> is in the way of pure funeral music (not metal ones). Moreover, unlike <SAKURA BENTO>, <ZUO> marks the further evolution of WISEFAKE's landmark "playing with sound and space". Using earphone or stereo equipment for this, producer's advice.

WISEFAKE is solo project of Victor Tso, LAFF awarded soundtrack producer and member of Chinese electronic pioneer Wanderlust (wanderlustsynthpopduo.bandcamp.com) formed in 2009. In 2016, second album of Wanderlust <NEO-TASTE> was released in China, which became a milestone of Chinese electronic music. Genres such as EDM, IDM, Synthpop, Dub, Traditional Asian Music, Classical Music, Jazz and Synth Punk were added in this album, alongside with more than 50 kinds of instruments. Album reached Top200 on Deezer Music.
In late 2016, Tso launched WISEFAKE as his main solo project. WISEFAKE was described as the project which based on dub, IDM and experimental techno. After self-released four dub techno EPs in 2016, WISEFAKE's first release <SAKURA BENTO> is pressed on Briefnote Records, the fresh electronic music label in Toronto in 2017.
