Recorded live to tape in Karate Boogaloo’s studio space, a cramped attic above a factory in the Melbourne suburb of Collingwood, Carn The Boogers was entirely tracked and mixed by the band.
The album, named for the vehement catch-cry that has developed within Karate Boogaloo’s Australian audience, captures KB’s unconventional cinematic, break-heavy funk.
Completed in 2017, the album was put to one side, until College Of Knowledge Records label heads Jethro Curtin and Lachlan Stuckey convinced KB that the record had to be released.

After strong international success with the first four releases of his six record series, the Red Hot Chili Peppers' guitarist now reveals his fifth album with longtime musical partner Josh Klinghoffer. Frusciante has been recording an album a month, spanning pop, experimental, electronic, and acoustic genres. Already released are "The Will To Death", Ataxia's "Automatic Writing", "DC EP", and "Inside Of Emptiness".

いずれの収録曲も斬新かつアヴァンギャルドな映像作品からインスピレーションを得て制作されており、彼らの魅力が最大限に反影されている。中でもシネマティックによる楽曲は、現代アメリカ写真界の巨匠ポール・ストランドと写真家チャールズ・シーラーが1921年に制作した『Manhatta』、マルセル・デュシャンやマン・ レイ、エリック・サティなど前衛芸術界の名士たちが出演した事でも有名なルネ・クレール監督 『Entr'acte』とのコラボレーションにより制作されており、シネマティック独特のモダニズムと美しいサウンド・スケー プで表現されている。
また今作には15歳からジャズ・ピアニストとして活躍するオースティン・ペラルタや、新世代ビートメイカーのドリアン・コンセプト達も参加している。

The Austrian trio Radian is a post-rock/electronic group who uses both acoustic and electronic instruments. The group's members often play even their acoustic instruments in such a rhythmically precise manner that Radian sounds more like an electronic act than a band.
Radian -- which includes bassist John Norman, drummer Martin Brandlmayr, and synth player Stefan Németh -- formed in Vienna in 1996, although the group did not play its first show until a full year later. Soon after, the Rhiz label released the group's self-titled EP in Austria. The group's first full album, TG11, was released jointly by Rhiz and Mego in 2000. In 2002, Radian traveled to Chicago to record with producer John McEntire, and the Thrill Jockey label released the resulting full-length, rec.extern, later that year. Rec.extern was the first Radian release to receive widespread distribution in the U.S., and in October 2002 the group toured the Northeast and Midwest to support the album. Juxtaposition saw Radian team up with John McEntire again and was released on Thrill Jockey in August of 2004.

In 2018, frequent collaborators Ryuichi Sakamoto and Alva Noto performed live at the Sydney Opera House. On November 15, that performance will be released on the new live album TWO.
TWO follows 2018’s Glass, which was recorded at Philip Johnson’s iconic Glass House. It was recently announced that Sakamoto’s 1978 debut solo album Thousand Knives Of... would receive its first wide reissue on vinyl outside of Japan.

2020: the year the Earth stood still for many of us. At least Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet has managed to stay productive. Amid the near-constant livestreams broadcasted from his home — which frequently featured a thrilling mixture of age-old classics and synthesis magic neatly matched by the bucolic setting of leafy trees that surround his house — he was evidently cooking up the slow-burning, meditative tones that would later become Parallel.
Months of confinement can’t help but make Parallel seem like an album of nostalgia for faraway worlds, and Hebden’s deeply felt sentimentality rings through its 10 tracks, each numbered like recollections in a quarantine diary. The first entry is an extended piece; kosmische textures and rain droplet rhythms unfurl in a vast 27-minute suite, the construct later giving way under the weight of a soaring drone. You get a real impression of time’s palpable dilation with errant voice messages and recordings of life’s activity. He ends the album on a similar note of reflection, the electronics stripped away to reveal a beautifully lively piano tinkering. While deep ambient music informs much of Parallel, Hebden quickens his pace with rolling electronic percussion and livewire synth leads recalling the vivacity of house, later rediscovering the cadences of his track ‘Baby’ in the crisp snares and reams of vocal samples on ‘Parallel 4’.
Naturally, Parallel is another striking LP from Four Tet, and after the year we’ve had, it’s exactly what we need.
