Canadian quartet BadBadNotGood take on creating the ultimate “late night” selection of tracks from their record collections, set for release on 28th July 2017.
The original trio of Matthew Tavares, Alex Sowinski and Chester Hansen formed while studying music at Toronto’s Humber College (they’ve recently added Leland Whitty to the line-up). A shared appreciation of hip hop and instrumental covers of Gucci Mane and Earl Sweatshirt suggested a worldly outlook and reciprocated love from Tyler The Creator and Ghostface Killah, with whom they made 2015’s Sour Soul. Their last album, the critically-acclaimed IV, turned heads and their collaborators continue to multiply: Snoop Dogg, Kaytranada and Kendrick Lamar among them.
“We were really excited to have the chance to put together a LateNightTales compilation, it’s a great organisation. We decided to use it as a vehicle to show everyone all the amazing music we have gotten to experience by touring and meeting new people.
Every track on this comp was either shown to us by an incredible person or made by one of our friends. We also included a little cover of a song by one of our favourite current musicians, Andy Shauf. These artists, as well as many, many others, have influenced us to create, and kept our deep love of music alive. This mix will keep you company on a quiet night by yourself or with friends. You can even hear little bits of BadBadNotGood through this mix, as though they are transmitting parts of themselves through the music they select. Perhaps the keys on Admas’ hilariously expensive ‘Anchi Bale Game’, maybe, or the arrangements on Delegation’s mighty Britsoul tune ‘Oh Honey’ or the groove from ‘Vida Antiga’, Erasmo Carlos’ Brazilian classic. This is an international effort: Velly Joonas’ Estonian version of ‘Feel Like Makin’ Love’, Kiki Gyan, Admas and Francis Bebey representing Africa (Ghana, Ethiopia and Cameroon respectively), Les Prospection from France, Scots’ Boards Of Canada and fellow Canucks River Tiber and Charlotte Day Wilson.
Finally, there’s the no-small-matter of the Late Night Tales cover version, in which BadBadNotGood take on Andy Shauf’s ‘To You’ is turned into a mournful delight. while the Queen Of Siam herself, Lydia Lunch, delivers a sexual sermon involving only you, her and Jim Beam.

2011年起，日本知名服飾品牌UNIQLO與「藍調之音」唱片公司合作，推出數十款以經典爵士唱片封面為圖樣設計的T恤。這肯定是一個足以互蒙其利的聰明做法，一來讓服飾品牌沾染了文藝氣息，再來讓爵士老店拼貼出年輕潮味，怎麼想都是個好主意！
「藍調之音」唱片，從來就以「1939年以降，最棒的爵士樂都在這兒！」〈Best Jazz Since 1939〉為號召，理直氣壯地行走江湖。早期著名的「獅狼兄弟」，老闆Alfred Lion與Francis Wolff，還有錄音魔法師Rudy Van Gelder，再加上身為樂手同時也是插畫藝術家的Gil Melle，這個黃金組合為「藍調之音」創造了不知多少將「音樂品質」、「發燒音質」與「封面藝術」這三種可貴元素合而為一的經典唱片。「藍調之音」的唱片封面一直是樂迷與收藏家的討論話題，國外甚至以專書介紹，原始的黑膠唱片在市場上更是以天價計算！現在可以把唱片穿在身上，大街上驕傲地宣稱「我就是要聽爵士樂！」，實在過癮！
選輯裡共十首歌曲，對應十張經典唱片的封面，也各自對應一件UT。音樂直接反映了衣著的態度，穿上爵士潮T聽爵士，整個人都搖擺起來了！

Love Devotion Surrender is an album released in 1973 by guitarists Carlos Santana and John McLaughlin, with the backing of their respective bands, Santana and The Mahavishnu Orchestra. The album was inspired by the teachings of Sri Chinmoy and intended as a tribute to John Coltrane. It contains two Coltrane compositions, two McLaughlin songs, and a traditional gospel song arranged by Santana and McLaughlin. It was certified Gold in 1973.
In 2003, Love Devotion Surrender was released on CD with alternative versions as bonus tracks.
Santana and McLaughlin toured in 1973 and 1974 to support the album.

Alfred Lion considered this his favorite production and well he should have. Without piano, Burrell, Stanley Turrentine and company get a clean open sound and a deep groove on such now classic compositions as the title tune and "Chitlins Con Carne", which has become a blues band staple.

Lovers Live is the first live album (seventh overall) by the English group Sade. It was released in the United States on 5 February 2002 and in the United Kingdom on 18 February 2002 by Epic Records, and was recorded during one of the shows of their Lovers Live Tour in 2001. The recording was taken from two concerts, held respectively at the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California, and at the Great Western Forum in Inglewood, California. The CD contains only thirteen tracks while the DVD is packed with twenty-two tracks plus special features.
Lovers Live debuted and peaked at number ten on the U.S. Billboard 200, and became Sade's first album to miss the top twenty of the UK Albums Chart. The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America on 7 March 2002 with U.S. sales of 562,000 copies,[1] while the DVD was certified platinum on 30 January 2003 for sales in excess of 100,000 copies.
