Lex Hives is the fifth full-length album by Swedish rock band The Hives. The album is scheduled to be released on 1 June, 2012 in Sweden, and internationally from 4 June, 2012.
Lex Hives was self-produced by The Hives and mixed by Grammy Award winner Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Adele), with two additional tracks mixed by D. Sardy (Marilyn Manson, Slayer) and Joe Zook (Weezer, Modest Mouse). The deluxe version features bonus tracks (digital download only) produced by Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme.
The term "Lex Hives" is a phrase derived from the ancient Roman practice of enacting a system or body of laws and accepting them as a standard.

John 5 continues to branch out, coupling his solo career, with his work in Rob Zombie. His solo albums, which up to 2011 included a remix album called Remixploitation, continue to break new molds in solo instrumentalist work. John 5 had this to say about the release of "God Told Me To": "I'm so proud of this record, I've put more time into this release than any other one! it's half acoustic and the other half electric with a tribute to Michael Jackson and Eddie van Halen with "Beat it" The DVD shows me actually recording the songs as well as behind the scenes of a "day in the life" of John 5! The cover painting/artwork was done by Rob Zombie! This album will take you on a musical journey designed to show more diversity in my playing than in the past."

Apocalyptic Love is the upcoming second studio album by Slash, the current lead guitarist of Velvet Revolver and formerly of Guns N' Roses. The album will feature Slash's band, consisting of vocalist Myles Kennedy, bassist Todd Kerns, and drummer Brent Fitz (collectively referred to as "Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators"). Produced by Eric Valentine, it is set for release on May 22, 2012.

An Awesome Wave is the debut studio album by English indie rock band alt-J, released on 25 May 2012 by Infectious Records. The album includes the singles "Matilda"/"Fitzpleasure", "Breezeblocks" and "Tessellate". It peaked at number thirteen on the UK Albums Chart, and also charted in Belgium, France, Netherlands and Switzerland. An Awesome Wave won the 2012 British Barclaycard Mercury Prize, and in 2013 was named Album of the Year at the Ivor Novello Awards.
