The most beautiful thing about bands like Explosions in the Sky, or Mogwai, is their ability to illustrate the entire spectrum of human emotion without the use of words - and Joy Wants Eternity is no different. This 5 piece instrumental group out of Seattle poured everything into their first full length album You Who Pretend to Sleep which is slated for release on May 22 and is comparable to Explosion's The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place. Their songs are lush, and full of ambient soundscapes that bend, twist, and mold to the mood of the listener. Every song tells a story, but never the same one twice. Bands like these pour their heart and soul into one song which will have an infinite number of meanings to each individual listener. Ambient guitar riffs brilliantly layered under beautiful keyboard melodies with the a familiar driving drum beat is a sound we've come to know and love. And as long as our imaginations are fully functional, we'll never get tired of it.

Australia’s This is Your Captain Speaking create expansive instrumental pieces using a minimalist aesthetic and subtle, evocative instr umentation. The band released their debut album ‘Storyboard’ in 2005 and have since achieved a great deal through word-of-mouth and music that speaks for itself. With two sold-out pressings of their debut, re-issued in Europe by Resonant Records in 2006, the same year This is Your Captain Speaking toured Europe and the UK including performing at Belgium's Rhâââ Lovely Festival. Their second album ‘Eternal Return’ was released to critical acclaim in 2008. In 2007 the band also wrote the original score for animated film ‘The Astronomer’, which was nominated for an AFI. This is Your Captain Speaking's third LP 'ARC' was released digitally through Diogenes Music (London) in April 2013, and sees the band forge a more expansive sound with the addition of bassist Gavin Vance alongside their trademark intertwined guitar melodies and drum lines.

Seas of Years was formed around midsummer 2012 and set out early on with the intention to write instrumental post rock. The first bandname was Ocean Rift, but it was eventually changed into Seas of Years.
None of the members had any previous experience of playing this genre, all originally hailing from the metal scene and bands like AtomA, Enshine, Slumber, Obrero, Unchaste, Burning Darkness, Mortifera and Insision.
The first rehersals and writing sessions were although successful both with band chemistry and the songwriting process. At the end of the year the band had about eight songideas (of which 4 were chosen) ready and decided to enter a studio session to record their first EP "Ocean Rift". The first band name survived to become the title of the first EP.
"Ocean rift" is a four track EP that will see the light of day in April 2013.
The recording and mixing of "Ocean Rift" was handled by Jari Lindholm and took place between
January and March 2013 in ESTA studios, Stockholm.

重返袖珍时光乐队，河南后摇滚（post-rock）乐队，结成于2009年夏。
重返袖珍乐队的成员稳定但作品并不高产，尽管2010年发行的同名EP中的曲目《蓿》及《Four Floor》被国内后摇乐迷评为单曲最佳，但是乐队并没有停止创作，除了参与录制“落网”的后摇合辑《独立计划》以外，更是于2015年1月在上海倦鸟唱片的配合下限量发行全新专辑《山峦之南》。
在这充满张矛盾与美好相互叠加的后摇唱片里，除了有跌宕起伏并激荡的大氛围之声，也有娓娓叙述似极光般的静谧图画，但一切在语言面前的描绘起来却又如此无力。
