One year to the day after their acclaimed debut album, Silence Yourself, Savages return with new music in the shape of 12-inch single ‘Fuckers’ / ‘Dream Baby Dream’.
Recorded at the band’s London’s Forum show on 6th November 2013 - exactly halfway through the band’s year - the record captures the full sonic intensity of Savages' live performance on the progressively wigged-out, 10-minute-plus ‘Fuckers’, as well as their more mesmeric side on a sinuous cover of Suicide’s timeless ‘Dream Baby Dream’.
'Fuckers'/'Dream Baby Dream' is available to pre-order now and will be released on 5th May/6th May (UK & Europe/North America). The vinyl comes with a download code, so you can listen to the track digitally as well.

London synth-pop songstress Elly Jackson, a.k.a. La Roux, returns with her sophomore album, Trouble in Paradise, on July 8th via Cherrytree/Interscope. Already we’ve heard the club-ready “Let Me Down Gently”; now Jackson’s revealed the LP’s first official single “Uptight Downtown”.

UK songwriter Anna Calvi has announced the release of her latest album One Breath. The follow-up to her Mercury Prize-nominated debut, the new record is due out Oct. 7 on Domino. "One Breath is the moment before you’ve got to open yourself up, and it’s about how terrifying that is," says Calvi in a statement. "It’s scary and it’s thrilling. It’s also full of hope, because whatever has to happen hasn’t happened yet."

The album was recorded at Blackbox Studios in France where much of the last album was recorded, and I also travelled to Texas to mix the album. One Breath features my great band Daniel Maiden-Wood on drums and Mally Harpaz on harmonium and tuned percussion.
