Raymond Blanc – Kitchen Secrets was filmed against the dynamic backdrop of Raymond’s working kitchen at Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. This unique and natural setting allowed viewers to experience the real life environment of a Michelin starred kitchen; as deliveries arrived, Raymond showed how to pick the best produce and shares his knowledge with young chefs.
However this was not a series about complicated fine dining and time consuming chemistry. As Raymond puts it, “something that appears difficult is just a combination of simple elements. This series is about using some of the techniques I use in my professional life to make simple food the best it can be. Most of these dishes are the kind of cooking I do when I’m at home.”
Within each programme, Raymond shared his passion and knowledge in order to select the best produce and he will focus on a different ingredient, from tomatoes and eggs to game and fish, and demonstrate four different dishes each week incorporating this ingredient, from a quick meal to prepare after work, to weekend dinner parties. The finale of each episode was be a signature recipe from Raymond’s restaurant, such as the Café Crème. As Raymond says, “it took me six months to perfect this dessert and I will share this recipe with you. You can make it as simple as you want to, as each technique can create dozens of simple desserts

Lou Ye is a great filmmaker. After having the success that we know for the sublime Suzhou River, the young director of the sixth generation is coupled to the design of this short film about Shanghai, the city of his heart , beautiful and multicultural . Camera in hand ( for lovers is a Sony DSR- PD150 DVCam ... ) for subjective , Lou Ye rhyme begins this urban plan by a girl asleep on a bed. Slowly the camera moves out of the suburb where this unknown young woman is given the arms of Morpheus , better visit this city that is Shanghai. The narrator who is also the hero says in voice-over that he loves this megalopolis . It focuses on the residents of these neighborhoods without cloth and without resources where most of the native population of Shanghai Lodge . Indeed the streets Zongshan Donglu which contains the Bund, Pudong, the famous Oriental Pearl is not the stock market and everyone. We must go farther Jingan District to discover the social wealth of this city . Why attach immense cold and nervous architectures while the Shanghai Blood flows through the veins of its rural ? It's a little message Lou Ye through this short film .

In 2010 L'IMEC which runs Alain Robbe-Grillet's fund, asked Volker Schlondorff (together with Bernard-Henry Lévy who coproduced the film) to comment some previously unreleased footage made by Françoise SPIRA during the shooting of Last Year in Marienbad.
Françoise Spira was in the cast and filmed the shooting in super 8 between the takes.
After she passed away, her husband exhumed these rolls and entrusted them to Alain Robbe-Grillet.
The choice of Schlondorff was obvious for he was Resnais'assistant on the film and mostly because his recollection seems to resurface with the discovery of those pictures just as Delphine Seyrig's memory seems to wake up with Giorgio Albertazzi's voice in Marienbad itself.
Though the film itself is rather poor (no sound except Schlondorff's voice over and some extracts from Resnais'film), there's a must to see moment of strange collision between Marienbad and "Night and Fog" when Spira, Schlondorff, Sacha Pitoef and his wife take advantage of a break to visit a village which celebrates the "october feast" a few yards from Dachau.
Once again, Resnais' masterpiece generates mystery and fascination.
