The last few years have been very special for Swedish dream pop pioneers Immanu El. Since the latest album release almost five years ago, the band have been touring around the world and battling a lawsuit against the state at the same time - a somewhat Kafka-esque experience that ended up with two trials and a verdict proving the band innocent almost two years later. Immanu El re-grouped in a cellar of an old regiment building, started to write new music and got Swedish Grammy nominated producer Johan Eckeborn (Jonathan Johansson - Lebensraum) on board to work with the band. When spring arrived, the boys booked a studio at the top of a hill near Florence in Tuscany, Italy, and spent two weeks recording what now has become the band's fourth album; Hibernation. Putting more time and focus into the production than ever before, Immanu El and Johan Eckeborn have managed to create something unique, developing the sound of the band and making the songs more compelling and exciting than ever. Introducing synthesizers and a rhythmic drive to melodies, this album has brought a new level of grandeur and simplicity to the music. Immanu El started as a musical experiment in Jönköping, Sweden 2004 by then 16-year-old Claes Strängberg, soon joined by his twin brother Per and friends David Lillberg and Jonatan Josefsson. The band has gained a reputation as one of the most promising bands from Scandinavia and have performed over 300 shows in 30 countries since the debut album was released 2008. 這張由德國電子音樂廠牌Morr Music在2001年發行的「Please Smile My Nose Bleed」混音專輯，介於「Yesterday Was Dramatic Today Is OK」(2001)與「Finally We Are No One」(2002)之間，Mum的"On The Old Mountain Readio"、"Please Sing My Spring Reverb"以及"Flow Not So Fast Old Mountain Radio"等三首新曲都十分精彩，完全符合該廠牌的一貫調性，溫暖悅耳的電子旋律，小孩的喃喃自語與嘻笑聲，有著勾勒起懷舊夢幻感覺的奇妙效果，再交由ISAN、Styrofoam、Phonem、B.Fleischmann、Christian Kleine等Morr Music旗下能手的幾首混音版本，風貌各有差異，都是水準之上的佳作，也是個瞭解廠牌全貌的樣本，只是因為旋律重複， 我建議分開來聽，不適合一次聽完，如果因重複而產生的聽覺疲乏，忽略其中的細節，如同面對大餐的那種飽足感，頗為可惜。

在聽mum以及Morr Music廠牌等樂隊folktronica取向IDM，斑駁跳動卻又無比甜蜜悅耳的鍵盤樂音時，我們必須指出八０年代中以降日本電玩配樂的因素，許多樂手都是像我一樣是1970年至1980年出生，我們所謂"六年級"，正是在日本任天堂紅白機在全世界攻城掠地的年代裡成長，由Capcom洛克人，Konami惡魔城、Square太空戰士(FF)植松伸夫的標題水晶音樂、Enix勇者鬥惡龍(DQ)杉山孝一等MIDI旋律，乃至喜多郎和阪本龍一等人的電子音樂，在創作與欣賞上或多或少影響著，再從這條線索溯源至七０年代歐美前衛電子搖滾，諸如Kraftwerk與Tangerine Dream的傳承。

聆聽這張由mum掛名，實則集Morr Music廠牌大成的「Please Smile My Nose Bleed」，無疑是個美好的旅程，聽到玻璃彈珠滾動、音樂盒開啟、鐵鎚敲打、夢境裡遠方教堂鐘聲、音樂娃娃旋緊發條，齒輪鐵片移動叮叮噹噹的聲音。我彷彿觸碰到了霧氣中升起的世界，那是童年的記憶，公園裡划船輕巧安穩分開水波的聲音，遠處觀望煙火掠過高樓頂端，細微爆裂聲音，以及明月照亮海洋搖晃的倒影。呼吸到清晨寒冽的空氣，感到心緒寧和純淨。

《Bye Bye!Post Rock!》是创建于北京的中国独立摇滚乐队pentatonic的第二张录音室专辑。继2009年的EP（豆瓣8.6分），以及2013年第一张专辑（豆瓣8.4分）这两张极高口碑的作品之后，于2019年9月在独立厂牌拾柒贰肆出版。
新专辑包含7首曲目，录音与制作横跨北京、广州、加拿大，由沼泽乐队的录音师阿星完成录音和混音，母带后期则交由Grey Market Master处理（加拿大知名后摇滚乐队Godspeed You! Black Emperor的多张经典专辑均在此处诞生）。
组队10年，出产1张EP、2张专辑，可见pentatonic并不是多产的乐队。新专辑从开始到成型，贯穿了乐队5年时间（开场曲《花西》，最早创作于2014年），5年，对任何一个身处中国的个体而言，都会经历不小的变化，对于pentatonic的音乐来说，自然也脱离不开乐队成员这几年来的个人经历和感悟。就如新专辑的个别曲子中，有着大量关于中国南方（《遐想镇》中云南老人的对话采样）、以及中东世界（《Valiasr》取名自德黑兰的大街）的故事，这都和乐队成员的生活息息相关。也许当今的乐迷，很难像欣赏古典音乐一样，去详细了解音乐人背后的创作故事，但音乐作为抽象艺术，吸引人的缘由恰恰也在于其是否能引发听者的本能反应。所以，音乐来源于创作者（的生活），但并不属于创作者，在聆听pentatonic的新专辑时，每一个乐迷完全可以将自己的所感所悟代入音乐，让思绪自由发挥。
而在摇滚乐早已无法体现现代感以及未来感的当下，乐队依旧坚信凭借传统乐器，可以形成极大的情绪张力。作为一个自带后摇滚标签的乐队，常年来，pentatonic始终以后摇滚为创作模板，而以《再见！后摇滚！》为名的新专辑，则大大拓展了乐队的创作思路，迥异于以往Mogwai式的爆发和层层巨浪似的推进力，新专辑的音乐表达基于传统的推涨方式上，加入了大量的细节表现，录音水准也远在过去的作品之上。
新专辑是pentatonic的一次终结，也是一个开始。“后摇滚”作为乐队的青春往事和某种执念，随着年龄的增长和社会的磨练，自然会有“终结”的一天；而创作，则永远能期待新的“开始”。在完整地听完这张专辑后，你可能会不经意地发现，乐队一如既往地，如10年前出版第一张EP时一样，还在“努力于用简单的音符创造出动听美妙的旋律”。
再见不代表失去，再见亦是怀念。

《花伦：Silver Daydream》里面的旋律优美且蕴含着忽然间爆烈的情绪，来自于他们内心坚定的力量。花伦乐队2004年11月成立于武汉。早期风格偏向于Brit-Pop，在经过初期成员频繁变动后，慢慢对Post-Rock和噪音美学产生浓厚兴趣，并在创作中表现出明显的纯器乐情绪化的倾向。
乐队在07年6月开始13个城市的全国巡演，至07年底当时成员已创作出专辑《Silver Daydream》的所有曲目。2008年六月乐队在北京的狐狸尾巴唱片旗下发行首张专集《Silver Daydream》，得到外界广泛关注与认可，被认为是中国新生代后摇滚乐队的优秀代表之一。

专辑的发行方狐狸尾巴（Foxtail Records）成立于2006年的北京，是一个致力于推广后摇和器乐摇滚的独立厂牌。虽然年轻，但是它的前身——著名的清华西门白糖罐，以及它和国内老牌后摇乐队惘闻的密切关系，使得狐狸尾巴在后摇和器乐摇滚的领域具有很强的吸引力。这次推出的花伦首张专辑，是狐狸尾巴继惘闻乐队的《7 Object in another infinite space》、《IV》以及涡牛乐队的《对牛弹琴》之后的又一力作。
追随日本后摇大团Mono的花伦执意用电吉他和效果器实现激情与内敛、噪音与沉静的结合，而首张专辑的整体感觉远比Mono的任何作品更具东方气息，这不是夸张之辞。从第一首单曲的第一个小节开始，梦境般柔和的银色就开始弥散。《Silence》从一段节奏急促的开头突然落向沉默的深渊，《My diamond star》中波澜不惊的轻微钢琴和流水般的电琴碎音此起彼伏，《Silver daydream》以低沉优缓的弦乐缓缓铺垫着吉他的悠长音符……花伦把力量深深地隐藏在柔美中。而《竹田の子守呗》更是《祈祷》的后摇版（也许在此之前，很多朋友都不知道《祈祷》的曲子来自一首70年代的日本民谣《竹田の子守呗》吧），花伦的演绎保留了原曲的婉约忧伤，同时注入一股不动声色的咆哮。适时的爆发，总是在不经意间把情绪牵连于另一个时空，让东方民谣的古老旋律和电子设备的现代情绪两相遥望。整张专辑的8首曲目再次诠释了后摇滚的精髓——于内敛中展开激情。而银色的梦境，无疑是它最好的形容。

epic45 are a British indie/post-rock band. Core members Rob Glover and Benjamin Holton, who grew up in Wheaton Aston, Staffordshire, formed the band in 1995 when the two school friends were only 13 years old.
