A stunning set of Mogwai career highlights and rarities, available to buy in a limited edition 3xCD box set via Rock Action Records. Tracks on the collection span the band's 20 year career taking in highlights from their debut long-player Mogwai Young Team (1997) all the way through to Rave Tapes (2014), the band's first ever top 10 album.
The announcement comes midway through a run of special live events marking 20 years to the week that the band gathered together in the Glasgow living room of Stuart Braithwaite's parents to rehearse for the first time. Following two acclaimed sell-out nights at Glasgow Barrowlands, Mogwai open a season of curated shows at London's iconic Roundhouse. For this ATP Season at the Roundhouse, the band celebrate their 20 year anniversary by playing two sold out shows and hand-picking a line-up of seminal artists that have challenged, intrigued and inspired over the past two decades, including Public Enemy, GZA, Godspeed You! Black Emperor & The Jesus & Mary Chain, the latter performing their seismic debut album Psychocandy in full.

The "aMAZEzine! 7"" was a split 7" featuring Godspeed You Black Emperor! and Fly Pan Am (catalogue number MAZE01.) It was released by aMAZEzine! for free with their fourth issue. The first 550 copies were pressed on white vinyl and all others afterwards were pressed on regular black vinyl. aMAZEzine! is a Montreal-based independent music magazine published between 1995 and 1999 by Marie-Douce St-Jacques from Crème Brûlée fanzine.
Each of the bands have one song taking up a complete side of the record. Fly Pan Am started off the record with the song "L'espace au sol est redessiné par d'immenses panneaux bleus" on the A-side, which would be used again on their eponymous debut album, and Godspeed You Black Emperor! contributed the song "Sunshine + Gasoline" (parts of which later evolved into "Moya" on Slow Riot for New Zerø Kanada) on the B-side.

British Sea Power are an English band. Their original lineup consisted of Yan Scott Wilkinson, Neil Hamilton Wilkinson, Eamon Hamilton, Martin Noble, Matthew Wood. Eamon Hamilton left the band in 2006 and was subsequently replaced by Phil Sumner, with Abi Fry also joining the band in 2008.

When looking for some inspiration amongst the barrage of music being blasted out from every direction these days there occasionally comes an absolute gem.
Dextro is the work 27 year old Scottish audio-head Ewan Mackenzie. Consequence Music is the debut album under his dextro name and it consists of beautiful, melodic electronica. The album is largely instrumental (there are some voices/vocals, although little that could be described as legible lyrics) with sampled recordings, guitars, piano, melodica and other strange unrecognisable sounds. It comprises of adventurous music made by a musical brain rather than a mathematical one, and is really unworthy of words alone. If you dig deep down into the soul of these tracks and you'll find a group of compositions packed with detail and beautifully strong melodies. There is a fuzzy, droney sound to this album, and sure enough you begin to hear hidden depths upon every listen. A true grower and an inspiration.

'Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress' is the forthcoming fifth studio album by Canadian post-rock band Godspeed You! Black Emperor, to be released on 31 March 2015. The album marks the group's first single LP-length release since their debut, F♯ A♯ ∞. The album was recorded with Electrical Audio engineer Greg Norman in studios in North Carolina and Montreal. The album was announced on 24 February 2015; the group also shared an excerpt of "Peasantry or 'Light! Inside of Light!'" on SoundCloud. On March 24, 2015, Constellation Records streamed the album on their SoundCloud.

《八匹马》收录了惘闻最近三年内创作的八首作品，每首作品诞生之初所讲述的故事或者情景我几乎都没有了印象，不同于惘闻以往的创作方式，这次新唱片中的很多歌曲在录音过程中都经过了大幅的重新编排，甚至在后期过程中我们也加入了很多新的想法。
《八匹马》的录制过程，充满了趣味。我们第一次放弃了进棚录音的概念，而是把所有的录音设备和乐器音箱都搬进了回声图书馆，一个奇妙的地方。我们花了大概10天左右的时间在这里录音，伴随着不明真相的图书馆读者和楼上的咖啡客，我们像极了一群行为艺术工作者，我们的录音过程像极了一个低级的行为艺术作品。整个录音过程我们并没有清场，图书馆以及楼梯上面的咖啡店都是在正常营业，所以如果你仔细听这张唱片，会听到很多环境声甚至人说话的声音。
后期的混音制作，我们找了四个人混不同的歌曲，他们是Toman的Wouter, PK 14的杨海松，which park的老王以及同我们合作了上张唱片《0.7》的安基国。我们抛弃了所谓专辑歌曲的一致性，因为专辑收录的8首歌对我们自己来说本身也是差异性很大，所以我们决定干脆放大这种差异性。
《八匹马》对于惘闻来言，是一个有意思的尝试， 它也是乐队十五年以来推出的第八张唱片。我们会牵着八匹马穿行各地，带给你们一个奔腾的惘闻现场。

God is an Astronaut’s seventh full-length album, Origins, is their first as a five-piece and cements their place as one of the world’s most intense, musically and visually-inventive post rock bands. Renowned for their searing live shows in which the music is married with provocative projected imagery, GIAA consider each of their albums to be a sonic ‘photograph or snapshot of who we are in that moment of time’ and Origins is perhaps their most saturated, striking snapshot to date.
Comprising a dozen tracks, Origins fluctuates from controlled ferment (‘Calistoga’) to plaintive, piano-led reverie (‘Autumn Song’) to rhapsodic, unapologetically melodic fever (‘Signal Rays’) while never losing its focus. A wide spectrum of emotions are conjured over the course of the album and, while half of the tracks feature vocals, the voices have been laden with resonant swathes of effects so as to retain a similar ambiguity to the instrumentals. It is this ambiguity that lends Origins its power. The song titles are evocative but never prescriptive: for instance, a southern Californian town is suggested in ‘Calistoga’ while the effect-fogged lyrics speak of finding light in a seemingly hopeless situation. Perseverance in times of emotional hardship appears to be the overriding theme of Origins, though it has always been the juxtaposition of seemingly disparate sounds, words and visuals that afford GIAA their singularity. The listener’s interpretation of the music is as valid as the emotions that inspired the band to make it.
