SANGRE DE MUERDAGO is the creation of Pablo C. Ursusson. Acknowledged musician, composer, painter, sculptor, lyricist, free soul and traveller of the deep forests and the seven seas, together with different guests and collaborators that include outstanding and recognized musicians Georg Börner, Erik Heimansberg and Asia Kindred Moore as main collaborators at the moment.
“Noite” is the 4th album of Leipzig-based Galician folk-druids Sangre de Muerdago. A new step up in the history of emotional music; a birth of a musical journey full of light in the darkness, from the depths of troubled hearts, and proving this international ensemble capable to print their aknowledged exquisite live performance into a recording.
With their previous album “O Camiño das Mans Valeiras” (2015) getting excellent international critic acclaim and countless mentions on best-of-the-year lists in 2015, they‘re back with an album that crushes the borders of their Galician musical heritage. With twelve songs pouring playful melancholy, ancient spirit and romanticism, they push the levels of emotion beyond what was done in the realm of folk music until now.

The air hangs heavy in the air, exhaled by a huddle of men – alert and eager to set off. The long grass is stiff with frost and a murder of crows wait in a nearby tree. They understand. They too are ready for the hunt. The anticipation is unbearable as the invocation begins. Reverence and ceremony are key. There is no cutting corners and the rite only serves to heighten the senses and sharpen the mind. There is an ancient awe in the air and a feeling of connection to the past; to those who walked this same crisp ground before. Alex Boyd & Ana Dujakovic reflect on the poignancy of such a connection. The melancholy that sits in between the moments of excitement. The tinge of sorrow that follows a successful hunt. The sense of purpose has been and gone. The afterglow has given way to regret and unease. A beautiful creature has died that we may persevere. Is that the chants of our ancestors carried on the wind? Are they proud? Perhaps that is enough. Perhaps that is everything. To use the term neofolk here would be ironic as Ulvesang have reached back beyond the past and found not only a connection to those who came before, but also an unearthly primordial magic. Surely that is the very definition of true folk music.

WE ARE ONE
ENA (one = unity in Greek) is our musical contribution to overcome duality, conflicts and separation trying to go towards a resonant, open-hearted attitude. What we seed in our life, in others’ lives, on the earth is what we receive. We are One, separation causes blindness and destruction. WE ARE ONE, WE ALL ARE CONNECTED. Vibration is the very first act of creation, Music has the duty and the right to work on connection being such a suitable and direct channel to express harmony.
If our life is meant to be a spiritual growing and not just a materialistic experience, all the domains where spirituality is expressed can become a source of enlightenment. Here is our naked soul alone in “her” voyage. To us, Music is diffusing a spiritual knowledge that’s not linked to a dominating specific religion but to the harmony of the cosmic forces. The aim is to reach again the primeval plenitude, calmness and inner light, being a part of the whole.
The magic word resounds before being pronounced. Knowledge and Experience happen at the same time and all of this is a sacred announcement, a message that doesn’t need rationality to be caught. It is a sort of spiritual call coming from the depths. Memory and singing are linked, they enable a deeper subtle “sight”.
The ancient wisdom was based on letting go, forgetting ourselves, our ego and masks in order to feel and live “the moment”.
A deeply felt thank for all what we have received from Greek philosophy, poetry and mysticism. Without this inspiration we wouldn’t be here to do what we do.

JAENNERWEIN is a brilliant new Folkband from the breathtaking Salzburg countryside around the holy mount Untersberg, the myserious home of STURMPERCHT.
They play their very own style, a mix of oldschool Folkmusic and NeoFolk with some Martial rhythms, many Alpine-Folk and even some medieval elements. Jaennerwein use many traditional alpine
instruments, as harmonica, bells, marchial-drums, flutes, lyra and violins, but they also use a few electronics and they create a warm and heimish atmosphere in all their songs.
Although they come from the same region and have a similar musical background as STURMPERCHT, JAENNERWEIN are somehow quite different, because they are more serious with their ancient, sad lyrics about holy (often christian) rituals and mysteries from the central european Alps. But anyway - who likes Sturmpercht, MUST like JAENNERWEIN as well !

Mitternacht - The Dark Night of the Soul is the upcoming album by Sopor Æternus & the Ensemble of Shadows.
The album will be released on 23 September 2014 in two different formats: in compact disc format with 36-page hardcover book, and an exclusive T-shirt (limited to 1999 copies); and on 12" vinyl with a 28-page booklet in '12 format and two posters (limited to 890 copies).[3] Both editions are signed and numbered by Anna-Varney Cantodea herself and feature illustrations by Anastasiya Chyringa, a fan whose artwork Anna-Varney encountered on Tumblr.
The song "La prima Vez" is a cover of a traditional Sephardic song.

There is since 2006 also a rerelease as a lavishly designed, gold-embossed Digibook of "A Wintersunset...", "Songs of moors and misty fields", "Weiland" and "Where at night the wood grouse plays" by Prophecy Producions. All of these are limited to 500 copies.

Empyrium一直是我很喜欢的乐队，还买过两三张正版的。他们的风格颇为独特，从大类上说应该是金属，却又能将民谣、旋律融合得非常好，清风凄冷中散发出金属的血脉贲张。他们是森林中的游吟诗人，是北欧黑森林中的奇葩。可惜几年前乐队解散了。这次能重新看到他们发行东西，真是令人高兴。马上请小妞帮忙翻译一点资料。正如专辑名称“A Retrospective…”所说，就是一张重新回顾的作品。除了从4张过去的唱片中重新灌录的乐曲外，这张CD还包括了2首新作，“Der Weiher”和“Am Wolkenstieg”，还有一首重新编排录制的新作“The Franconian Woods In Winter’s Silence”。
