简介: 如果你向别人宣称自己是一个黑暗氛围/工业乐迷，那么请不要告诉我你不知道In Slaughter Natives这个名字。自瑞典音乐人Jouni Havukainen在1985年组建了这个单人组合后，它一直作为定义存在于这一音乐流派里。ISN是CMI开国功臣中最有才华的组合，正因为它的存在才使得这个今天闻名于世的北欧冷血黑帝国从当初单纯的地下音乐圈子中浮出水面。他所创造那种融合宗教吟诵，强力古典，工业噪声和氛围采样等元素的声响至今仍被无数后人所赞颂和效仿。
ISN的音乐黑暗，宏大，压抑且庄重。这是一种你永远也无法用玩乐的心态能聆听得了的声响。它震撼你，逼迫你严肃对待。ISN纪录在案的最早出品是同名磁带,91年Staalplaat再版了这张专辑的CD。92年入驻CMI，同年一下出版了2张专辑ENTER NOW THE WORLD和SACROSANCTS BLEED。 然后魔王消失了4年，于1996年在老东家Staalplaat下出品了最后一张正式专辑PURGATE MY STAIN向世人宣告ISN还活着，只要它想就依然能够重新统治这黑暗世界。又是沉寂了4年，2001年CMI出品了RECOLLECTION，一张ISN的精选集。随之而来的反馈使ROGER意识到对于ISN这样的团而言，出所谓精选集是远远不够的，唯一能满足乐迷渴望的东西就是全部重新再版。就这样转过年来ROGER立刻发行了RE-ENTER SALVATION，5CD BOX。简直是上帝的礼物，原谅我这么形容，因为他们都是异教徒:)，它包含了全部专辑歌曲再版重混，由Peter Pettersson (raison d etre)主理；增加了3首现场和三首新作。原定1000张的限量销售在一周内告罄！天呀...这就叫影响力！CMI倒也痛快，马上再版安慰那些没有得到这个出品的乐迷，例如我。随着世界范围内的盛赞。在2003年Jouni Havukainen也逐渐活跃起来，他的ISN参加了今年的德国莱比锡 GOTHIC-WAVE音乐节的演出。在网上看了大量照片，虽然年龄大了，不过那份冷酷感可丝毫未减。这是我心目中最好的新古典黑暗氛围组合，那种启示录气质无人能及。

Word Serpent will be surprised for have missed such a great "apocalyptic" group... many acoustic guitars & a great voice, this are not a new DIJ clone but a great project wich is developing in some very interesting & new ways... some samplings of old "songs" make this cd even more intriguing. The cover is a masterpiece of "decadence" and beauty showing also an old photo of Venice, co-produced with Misty Circles! ltd. to 470 copies.

"Whom The Moon A Nightsong Sings" is a compilation of rare value – not only because of the fact that this is one of the few conceptual compilations that are based around a central theme and where the choice of artists present was subjected to a rigid selection. No, "Whom The Moon A Nightsong Sings" is a two-CD collection with a playing time of over 100 minutes that unites all the main players and the most promising newcomers of a nameless genre that is defined by (mostly) acoustic musical settings of nature's sceneries and impressions, or of personal sentiments mirrored in nature. This profound respect and a deeply romantic magical and mystical perception of nature are the common denominator of all the featured artists and the thematic foundation of their contributions. The fact that nearly all of the songs included here are either exclusive to this project or rare tracks that aren't otherwise available anymore serves to emphasize the extraordinary character of this release.

One of the highlights on "Whom The Moon A Nightsong Sings" is certainly Empyrium's contribution – the ensemble's first new recording in four years and the impressive beginning of a new creative period. Also featured are the genre's founding fathers, Ulver, with a very rare recording from 1997: their track 'Synen' was only featured on a very limited underground compilation and is probably the Norwegians' most sought-after song. The contributions by bands such as October Falls, Nest, or Neun Welten – artists who have forged the genre's identity in the last ten years and have become major points of reference for lovers of dark, nature-attuned acoustic music – or by as-yet unknown quantities such as the British project Nhor or Syven from Finland are also delivering the goods and certainly bear comparison with the genre's founding fathers. The enchanting cover artwork courtesy of Fursy Teyssier (Les Discrets) tops off a release that, because of its musical content, is certainly going to remain a unique and unrivalled audio document for a long time.

Over the last few years the German group :GOLGATHA: have succeeded in cultivating their own unique style via a series of ambitious concept albums and live appearances. They describe this style as ‘ritual folk’: their highly original fusion of percussive world music elements with ethereal female vocals and earthy folk songs conjures up the spirits of DEAD CAN DANCE, IN THE NURSERY and JOCELYN POOK as well as those of LEONARD COHEN, SOL INVICTUS and CURRENT 93. Sounds of enraptured beauty come up against dark ecstacies and pessimistic visions.
Horns of Joy is dedicated to the nihilistic tendencies of the early 20th century – and their necessary overcoming. Horns of Joy follows their successful last album, Tales of Transgression & Sacrifice (2007) and the neoclassical symbiosis with French collabo- rators DAWN & DUSK ENTWINED upon Sang Graal (2008) and denotes a new chapter, a next stage in the development of :GOLGATHA:.
Horns of Joy is serious and mature, ambivalent and profound and amounts to more than just aestheticised gloom.
After early collaborations with SIXTH COMM, TONY WAKEFORD and HERBST9, for Horns of Joy they got the vocalists from DAWN & DUSK ENTWINED und WHILE ANGELS WATCH on board and have created inimitable hymns about the great calamities of the 20th century: “This is the sound of war – what has it all been good for?” Trancelike rhythms slowly build up, making way for songs of guilt and pain, but also of hope and joy.
With Horns of Joy, :GOLGATHA: have exceeded the sum of their work to date and have developed their distinct ritual folk sound in crystalline clarity over a cycle of 13 elaborate songs. In a captivating manner they demonstrate their special position in the landscape of European alternative music.

Like the Silken Shrouds of Loneliness will be the folower of one year old debut album Now Will You Believe ? (Steinklang Records) and it will be released in elegant digipack on the 31st of May.
